| Bio: | I'm a red-haired 35 year old urban survivalist.
I teach at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI
I coach and write and direct and amuse myself.
I watch cartoons until the sun comes up.
I travel to strange and obscure places.
I get lost in the world sometimes. In the cove, even more often.
I eavesdrop on fascinating conversations. Sometimes I cause them.
I'd rather be homeless than complacent.
I write my congressmen. I don't go quietly. I don't text people during the play.
I'm an ex-fundamentalist. That doesn't make me vindictive, stupid or special.
I write about whatever strikes my fancy.
I keep secrets.
I have kept this journal for six years. I've met many of my friends list in person during those six years. Some of them are my dearest friends.
I'm a bear and I like it. I think arts education is important. I judge people for poor grammar. I'm a mass of contradictions. I keep drama on the stage.
I'll fall in love one day.
The plays I write are about harmonica solos and the color blue, the birth of the thesaurus, a plant handed down from father to son, the way we lie through language, using children to predict natural disasters, street preachers who use guns, how four personalities turn a sick man into a killer, astronomy and a kidnapping, a mysterious box that can kill and resurrect people, a group of kids who get revenge on older kids by pretending to be a galactic space team, speaking to a dead person to avoid a wedding, a man who will kill to get published, and adaptations of several folk tales from around the world.
